I have a presentation to do for my English class and I choose to talk about Woodstock. This is the introduction I wrote, and I proud of it so :
On August 15-17 1969, the village of Bethel, NY (with a normal population of 5000) became the largest city in the state. In a time of demonstrations, riots, racial and social unrest, over 400.000 young people from across the nation would converge on Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm for three days of peace, love and music. Many parked as far as 20 km away. Some were called flower children, hippies or yuppies... some just wanted to party (before being called to war) other were just curious. But they would show the world that people of all races, creeds, religions or social backgrounds could co-exist without violence. As the hordes began crossing the security fences, it became a free concert featuring 31 of the biggest bands and perfomers of the time. Through pouring rain, with inadequate food or water, medical or sanitations facilities, all would help their fellow man. It would create a moment that change their lives as well as those of future generations. All would leave touched by the Woodstock Experience.
Okay I may have picked some sentences on the net but I did most of the part, something like 55% ! lol
Ha. What happened to Paris Hilton makes me laugh even I think if it happened to me I'd be really mad but, it's Paris not me ! haha.
Anyway I'm disappointed 'cuz I forgot my camera and I could have took lots of cool pics in town this afternoon. First, it's snowing so it's white everywhere, which is rare in my town. Next, our train station is now beautiful because they have washed the wall. Then, as it's snowing, everyboby seems to be lost, that was funny. Afterward, there was a car which was parked on the pavement so it got a ticket. It was a young driver so there was an 'A'. And somebody writes 'bruti' so it was marked ABRUTI which it made really laugh because of the situation. Get the pic ?
Love.
Since I've read Boris' post about love I thought about what make me think I'm in love. And I don't know. I'm pretty sure I've never been with someone I loved but I loved 1 or 2 girls... I think. Is falling in love a hard thing to do ? I'm just lost. There's a song call ''it's so easy to fall in love'' so maybe not. LOL Seriously, for quiet a long time I was sure I love a girl but as I didn't want to lose her I've convinced myself it was a true friendship. And now I dunno if it's because of Valentine's day but everybody seems to be on the Love Boat while I'm on the Titanic. Maybe I should be with someone I don't love. I think I could be with F. I like that girl but the fact I don't love her bother me. But you can't love all the people you've been/you'll be with, right ? I'm 19 I should experience things, don't think about love and fuck !
I went to the cinema to see the new Woody Allen: Melinda and Melinda. Good movie. But if I want to talk about it, it's because of what happened as I was waiting for the film to begin. A lot of people were there, especially for this movie so all the seats were sold. A couple tried to cheat because they said they had ''wrong seats'', but as all the seats were sold they said that it was a mistake of the cashier because they wanted to see Melinda and Melinda and not another movie. In fact, they hoped the man-who-takes-the-tickets didn't pay attention to their tickets because of the crown. But he saw the trick. HA. Then, I had my seat so I was waiting. One of the thing I love to do when I wait for a movie to begin it's to hear other people's conversation. A woman, an english teacher in her 40's, saw a friend and said : - You're like me, second time for this movie. And her friend started to do a lot of strange signs as if she was enable to speak. Then the english teacher said to the guy she was with: - Shit I've made a crap. She's with her husband and she was with another guy the first time. SHIIIIT ! Re HA.
Anyway, I think I'm insane because it's been something like 1 or 2 weeks that I hear songs but in relevant in what people said, à la Ally McBeal (yeah TV addict I know). I mean I think in songs now. Got it ? Weird, uh ?
Thursday : went to a nightclub. It was a Special Law Student Fiesta. I was apprehensive but it turned great. No, really it was nice. The music was good. I've danced on the podium and I even won a perfume, for men luckily, and not a vulgar one : Envy By Gucci !
It was kind of weird at the beginning because you're with people you usually saw working all day and now you see them on podiums. It was bizarre.
Ho and there was that "encircling dance floor" (is that good English?), that was funny.
A. was with us. You know that moody girl. She was nice with all of us this time. So it was a good party.
Friday: went to a birthday party. We ate Chinese. We had some spring roll and some ravioli with 4 differents sauces. It was so delicious. Then, I returned home, by car, and smashed into another car which was parked on the pavement. It broke my left headlight and most probably the door of the other car. So, I quickly left that blue-car-which-had-no-reason-to-be-there and went back home.
I've said to my parents I found my car like that.
HA.
Today: We bought a new headlight ! ;)
